The enormously popular Costa Brava offers you the best of both worlds – the beach and nightlife of Lloret de Mar, combined with the sights and the sounds of Barcelona. With superb facilities and competitive clubs here, the region remains one of our most popular hockey tour destinations.

Accommodation

We use a number of 3 star hotels in Lloret de Mar such as the Garbi Park and Acapulco, all just a short walk from the multitude of bars and clubs. Hotel upgrades are available on request. All the hotels have an outdoor swimming pool; bar; TV room and usually evening entertainments in high season. Alternative accommodation is available in Barcelona city.

Features

The busy town of Lloret de Mar is one of the major tourist centres on the Spanish Mediterranean coastline. As a “vila esportiva” (sports town), there are excellent local facilities here, although you’ll have to travel to Barcelona or Terrassa for your hockey.

Hockey
There are superb clubs in Barcelona and nearby Terrassa. With great facilities and a country-club type atmosphere, these are wonderful venues for touring teams looking for some serious hockey. Strong competition makes this a great choice for competitive teams. The annual festival in September is a popular way to prepare for pre-season with some traditional Catalan hospitality in Barcelona.

Other Information

Excursion Possibilities
Most groups choose an excursion into Barcelona during the tour. Here, you can enjoy a visit to the Nou Camp stadium for a guided tour or perhaps see a match in season. Other highlights include the bars and shops along the famous Ramblas avenue.

Travel

Flights are widely available from around the UK, with transfers from Girona (35 minutes) and Barcelona (90 minutes) organised for your arrival. Lloret de Mar is approximately 16 hours by coach from Calais.
