USA

This is a lovely region, where you can combine the sights and sounds of Boston with the beaches along the New Hampshire coast. Best for girls hockey at high school and college level, summer tours can be an excellent way to combine pre-season training and holiday.

USA USA

Boston is a friendly city with tree lined avenues and a European heritage. From here the Revolution took shape and you can follow the ‘Freedom Trail’ through the city and see Quincy Market, the ‘Cheers bar’ and Harvard University. Head north out of the city and you’ll recognise British place names such as Manchester, Portsmouth and Dover with friendly folk who love to entertain.

Accommodation

Most groups will enjoy a combination of ‘homestays’ with host team families and motel accommodations during the tour. There’ll usually be a barbecue after your matches and normally a variety of restaurants to choose from at good value for money.

Features

Wonderful leisure attractions and great hospitality
Choose from self-drive to make your own way through the region (by self-drive minibus) or have the services of a private coach (for transfers).
There are swimming pools, theme parks, beaches and barbecues for your leisure.

Sports

Hockey
Although there is little mens hockey here (there are pockets in New York and the West coast) there is plenty of female hockey especially at high school and university level. As well as friendly games in the Summer to coincide with the American pre-season, you may also wish to consider the excellent Palm Beach tournament in November for girls teams. See the Cal Cup tournament for a competitive tournament on the west coast for men’s and women’s teams in May and the Big Apple tournament in New York in September.

Other Information

Excursion Possibilities
Boston is packed with interest and culture. Quincy Market is great for your shopping; while the JFK museum and aquarium are both worth a visit. The ‘Freedom Trail’ follows the Revolutionary landmarks through the city; and Harvard University is reminiscent of Cambridge.
