Experience the rich history, culture and tradition of England as the ideal destination for your first tour across to Europe. The home of soccer; World Champions at rugby and with great opportunities for field hockey, netball and cricket teams, England is the place to be both on and off the field.

Sports

Soccer
The home of world soccer, England is rich in history and tradition and you can enjoy the thrills of professional action, a stadium tour and competitive friendly matches with clubs selected to meet your ability. Guest coaching sessions can add an extra dimension to your tour.

Hockey
With excellent facilities (sand and water based fields) and clubs and schools always keen to welcome touring teams throughout the year, there are some fabulous opportunities for field hockey teams. Guest coaching with GB Olympians and National League players can be organised within your package on request.

Rugby
World Champions, England produces some of the finest rugby players and teams around. Enjoy some first class matches followed by some great hospitality at clubs and schools in season. Guest coaching with leading players is always a really positive addition to your trip.

Other sports
Tours can be organised for most other sports including netball, volleyball, golf, basketball and cricket. Please get in touch to discuss your plans and to request any further information.

Sample Itinery

The itinerary below is specific to soccer groups, but tours for all major sports can also be organised on request on similar lines to those shown.

Day 1 Overnight flight.

Day 2 Arrive into London international (Heathrow/Gatwick) airport. Meet and greet with STI tour representative and bus transfer to your accommodations in the north-west of England (Manchester region). Check in, orientation and free time. Field time for your own training on request. Optional evening activities.

Day 3 Breakfast. Morning visit to the Manchester City FC Academy for guest coaching at this superb facility with Academy staff. Short transfer to the City of Manchester stadium for a behind the scenes guided tour of the famous Old Trafford stadium and shop, home of Manchester United. Chance to catch a professional game in the region.

Day 4 Breakfast. Select from one of our recommended excursions. Sightseeing possibilities include Conwy Castle; the Roman walled city of Chester; Liverpool (the home of the “Beatles”) or the shops of Manchester. Afternoon friendly game in the region with post match hospitality. Optional evening activity such as ten pin bowling on request.

Day 5 Breakfast. Journey south towards London stopping off at the historic university city of Oxford for lunch and shopping. Continue on to London to check into accommodations. Optional evening activities.

Day 6 Breakfast. Sightseeing day in London. You’ll enjoy a morning flight on the spectacular “London Eye” followed by a walking tour of the famous sights including the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, Piccadilly Circus and Trafalgar Square. Evening friendly match and hospitality with local club.

Day 7 Breakfast. Excursion to the beautiful university city of Cambridge. Here you can see the famous university colleges. What’s more, you can try punting on the river, which is a real favourite with our groups (extra cost) or enjoy the shops and bars of the old market square. Friendly game against a local club and post match hospitality.

Day 8 Breakfast. Free day at leisure in London. You can enjoy a visit to the new Wembley Stadium, Tower of London or Windsor Castle if you wish (entries not included) or make the most of the fantastic shopping at Covent Garden, Oxford Street or Harrods. Final evening get together to relive the memories of the tour.

Day 9 Breakfast. Return transfer to airport for flight home.

Excursion Possibilities
You can enjoy a wonderful array of sightseeing opportunities including all the famous historic venues in London; punting on the river in Cambridge; Windsor Castle and much more. Should you prefer to include other destinations within England, then tailor-made tours are always workable on request.
