Holland

Admired for the quality of their teams and facilities alike, Holland has long been a favourite with sports groups on tour. The Dutch are great hosts on and off the field, while guest coaching, tournament entries and match tickets can all be added to your package. As well as traditional Dutch theme parks, there are also canal boats, windmills and dams to enjoy.

Sports

Soccer
The Dutch have always advocated “total football” and have produced legendary young players through their professional teams. Guest coaching with KNVB staff will be a rewarding experience and tours of the Amsterdam Arena can be organised on request. Friendly matches are played on good grass fields and there are a number of international tournaments to enter should you prefer.

Hockey
Successful at the Olympics yet again, the Dutch have a fantastic record in World hockey. With so many exceptional facilities, clubs and coaches, it’s no wonder that Holland is a great choice for field hockey tours for teams of all ages and abilities. There are plenty of festivals and tournaments during April and May which are also an option on request.

Rugby
Still developing in Holland, rugby is gaining in popularity in Holland. There are a number of rugby clubs keen to welcome touring teams and to share some local hospitality.

Other sports
Basketball, volleyball and swimming camps can also be organised here.

Sample Itinery

•Day 1 Flight to Holland.

•Day 2 Arrive Amsterdam Schiphol airport. Meet and greet on arrival and transfer to hotel accommodations on the Dutch coast. Arrive in the seaside resort of Noordwijk aan zee to check into your hotel. Afternoon at leisure to settle in by the beach and local orientation. Field time for your own training. Evening dinner at the hotel.

•Day 3 Breakfast. Transfer to Ajax training facility to watch coaching session. Afternoon guest coaching with KNVB professional staff. Friendly match(es) with local Dutch club and post match hospitality. Dinner.

•Day 4 Breakfast. Transfer to Amsterdam. Morning boat trip along the canals. Afternoon free time at leisure for shopping and sightseeing in the city. Options include the famous museums and galleries including Anne Frank House. Return to Noordwijk for dinner.

•Day 5 Breakfast. Morning field time for your own training. Afternoon excursion to a tropical pool; diamond factory or farm. Evening friendly match(es) against local Dutch club. Post match hospitality. Evening dinner.

•Day 6 Breakfast. Morning transfer to Alkmaar to see the famous cheese market and windmills of the region. Afternoon KNVB professional soccer clinic at host facility in Alkmaar. Return to hotel for an evening at leisure in the resort. Dinner.

•Day 7 Breakfast. Morning at leisure at the beach or local shops for souvenirs. Transfer to host club for afternoon friendly match(es). Post match hospitality with Dutch teams. Return to the hotel for dinner.

•Day 8 Breakfast. Morning guided tour of the famous Amsterdam Arena stadium. Afternoon tickets for the Dutch league match between Ajax Amsterdam and NAC Breda. Return to Noordwijk. Evening dinner and pack.

•Day 9Transfer back to Amsterdam Schiphol airport for return flight to the USA.
