Lloret de mar

The enormously popular coastline offers you the best of both worlds the beach and nightlife of Lloret de Mar, combined with the sights and the sounds of Barcelona. Our annual netball tournaments here continue to grow each year as school, university and club teams seek the sun and fun of the Costa Brava.

Accommodation

We use a number of 3 star hotels in Lloret de Mar such as the Garbi Park and Acapulco, all just a short walk from the multitude of bars and clubs. You’ll be accommodated in en-suite twin rooms on half board basis with food, buffet style, in the hotel restaurants. All the hotels have an outdoor swimming pool for your relaxation plus bar; TV room and usually evening entertainments in high season.

Features

The busy town of Lloret de Mar is one of the major tourist centres on the Spanish Mediterranean coastline. As a “vila esportiva” (sports town), there are excellent local facilities here, although you won’t find any netball played here after we’ve gone!

Sports

School Netball
We hold our annual festival week for schools here during the Spring Bank holiday week. Split into categories for U13s (years 7 & 8) and U15s (years (9 & 10) teams enjoy morning coaching session with experienced qualified staff and afternoon tournament matches against other British schools. There’s an excursion day to Barcelona included and free time to enjoy activities in the resort.

Club Netball
Our tournament for club teams regularly attracts teams from Britain and Germany looking to enjoy competitive netball with sun and relaxation. The tournament takes place over 2 days and allows time for a trip to Barcelona should you wish.

University Netball
The netball competition within the SportsParty festival is always one of the most keenly contested of categories. With 32 teams taking part, a number will battle it out to be SportsParty champions, but there’s a big social element too. Start planning for the trip next Easter now.

Other Information

Excursion Possibilities
Most groups choose an excursion into Barcelona during the tour. Here, you can enjoy a visit to the Nou Camp stadium for a guided tour or perhaps see a match in season. Other highlights include the bars and shops along the famous Ramblas avenue.

Travel

Flights are widely available from around the UK, with transfers from Girona (35 minutes) and Barcelona (90 minutes) organised for your arrival. Lloret de Mar is approximately 16 hours by coach from Calais.
