The closest of our resorts to Barcelona, Calella is a traditional seaside town which has become one of Catalonia's leading tourist destinations. The narrow streets of the old town with squares, shops and church serve as a reminder of a quieter, more typically Spanish existence, away from the bustle of tourists. But for groups there are still restaurants, crazy golf, bowling, karaoke and the beach to enjoy just a short walk from your hotel.

Sports
Football
The region has a proud football tradition with the Catalan giants, FC Barcelona, a huge name in the World game. Friendly matches are organised with teams in the city as well as with typical village clubs on the coast or inland. While a few clubs have a grass pitch, games are typically played on clay or artificial surfaces. For serious teams, guest coaching can be arranged with our friends at Espanyol, at their training complex in Barcelona, while tickets for Barca matches at the Nou Camp stadium are usually available during the season.
Rugby
There are a few clubs within the region who are always keen to welcome British teams. There are some good facilities in Barcelona and Girona.
Hockey
With splendid clubs both in Barcelona and Terrassa boasting sand and water based pitches, you can enjoy fantastic facilities in spectacular surroundings. The Spanish clubs produce excellent youth players, so the friendly matches can be very competitive. Additional training time can be reserved for you on request and we can organise guest coaching with international players if you wish.
Other sports and leisure activities
Basketball is popular in the region, while there are indoor and outdoor Olympic pools for swimming clubs looking for training.
