In the heart of the Catalan capital, Espanyol is the second club of the city of Barcelona. Not as famous as "Barca" of course, but with a great reputation for developing home grown talent, Espanyol continue to hold their own in the Primera Liga.
Espanyol’s new "Cuidad Deportiva" (training ground) is located in the heart of the city. All the teams are based here from the first team to the boys and girls Academy team squads. Coaching sessions with Academy staff are a fantastic introduction to Spanish football for our teams and a fantastic opportunity for British school teams. Furthermore, Primera Liga matches are played at the Olympic Montjuic stadium, and reduced price tickets are available for matches in season.
Barcelona is approximately 16 hours by coach from Calais.
Flights are available into Barcelona from most major and regional airports.
There are various accommodation possibilities to suit your budget, all well located for your football training in the city.
• A selection of 3 star hotels in rooms for 3-4 persons in our resorts on the coats including Castedefells, Calella and Santa Susanna (all within about an hour of the city).
• Various 2-3 star hotels in the city - well located for the football arrangements on your tour.
Excursion Possibilities
Most groups will choose to visit the spectacular Nou Camp stadium or to catch a professional match in season. Excursions to the water parks or Port Aventura theme park are also a popular day trip.
