Lido di Jesolo

Party capital of the Venetian coast, Jesolo is a great student destination for traditional matches as well as beach sports in the Summer. As well as the beach, there are arcades, bars and nightclubs along the lively strip by the sea. There’s one of Italy’s very best waterparks too in high season and you’re just an hour or so from Venice.

Accommodation

We use a selection of typical Italian 2-3 star hotels on or close to the beachfront, such as the “Da Bepi” and “Frank”. Most of the twin and triple bedrooms are en suite. The hotels typically have a private area on the lovely sandy beach, restaurant and terrace.

Features

Jesolo is a lively resort with a fantastic sandy beach. The busy strip along the seafront is lined with shops and bars. You’ll find plenty of places to get some pizza too. With several grass pitches in the resort, training time is possible and there is crazy golf and tennis courts to suit the energetic. The waterpark’s a favourite during the Summer.

Sports

Football
We have an excellent network of local Italian clubs, so friendly matches here are always a big success. After the game you can enjoy some typical Italian hospitality and tuck in to some local pasta at the club. Tickets for Serie “A” and Serie “B” games can be organised during the season on request.

Rugby
As well as the local club in the resort, there are excellent possibilities for games within the region. The superb Benetton complex at Treviso is just one of a number of top clubs within the region. For those looking for some fun in the sun, then there are a number of beach rugby tournaments during the summer, just perfect for an end of season holiday.

Hockey
You’ll need to travel some way to your matches, but the facilities in Padova and Villafranca are excellent.

Excursion Possibilities
For the romantic amongst you, Venice is a must of course. We can reserve a private boat transfer along the Grand Canal so you’ll have easy access to all the major sights. Aqualandia waterpark is loads of fun (open high season only) and for rides and thrills we recommend Gardaland theme park near Verona (an hour and a half by coach)

Travel

The coach journey from Calais to Jesolo takes approximately 18 hours travelling through the night. Flights are available from a number of UK airports into Venice and Treviso, less than an hour by coach from the resort
