Noordwijk aan zee

A popular beach resort on the Dutch coast and just 40 minutes from Amsterdam, Noordwijk is a great base for your university tour to Holland. With dozens of top clubs within the region, you will be well placed for tournament and match arrangements within the region.

Accommodation

Most student groups stay at family run hostels and hotels such as the Aan Zee and De Branding in en-suite rooms for 3-4 persons, with meals and packed lunches on request. Budget accommodations in central Amsterdam can also be organised should you prefer.

Sports

Football
The Dutch have always advocated 'total football' and have produced fantastic young players through their professional teams. Friendlies are usually played on good grass pitches under floodlights and men’s and women’s games can be organised to suit the standards of your teams. Tours of the Amsterdam Arena are always popular and we can reserve tickets for Ajax, AZ, Feyenoord or PSV in season. Tournament entries are possible at Easter, Spring Bank holiday and during the Summer.

Hockey
Successful at the Olympics yet again, the Dutch have a fantastic record in World hockey. With so many top facilities too, it's no wonder that Holland is an obvious choice for student hockey. Training time can be organised at National League facilities and there are loads of Easter and end of season festivals to enjoy if you want to enjoy the party atmosphere.

Other sports & leisure activities
Both rugby and cricket offer interesting tour possibilities during their respective seasons for British touring teams. Our tour base in Noordwijk in the heartland of Dutch sport allows for fixtures at clubs in Rotterdam, the Hague, Gouda and Amsterdam. Other sports including volleyball, basketball, softball, baseball and swimming can all be organised on request.

Excursion Possibilities
The Duinrell theme park and indoor tropical pool is a great fun whatever the weather. But for most groups the trip to Amsterdam is a priority whether for culture, beer or a trip to the red light district!
